Six games, six wins. Manchester City passed the Anfield test with a 3–0 victory over Liverpool and now have a perfect 18 points from 18. Arsenal responded with a win of their own, Brighton held on to third place, while Manchester United again dropped points from a position they should have controlled.
Before the weekend, we picked out three headline fixtures and locked in the pre-match line at 888STARZ. Now we can compare those expectations with what actually happened.
Liverpool 0–3 Manchester City
There was barely anything between the teams before kick-off:
2.62 / 3.82 / 2.69
For almost an hour, that looked about right. The game was still 0–0 before Liverpool went down to ten men following Gravenberch’s red card.
City did not waste the opportunity. Haaland, Doku and Cherki scored — 0–3.
In our preview, there was no real reason to pick a clear favourite: the prices were almost identical. In the end, City at 2.69landed, even if nothing before the red card suggested such a comfortable final score.
It is now six wins in a row for Guardiola’s side. Haaland has six league goals.
Arsenal 2–1 Leeds
The clearest favourite from our preview got the job done, although it was far from comfortable.
Before kick-off:
1.44 / 5.03 / 8.20
Leeds scored first after the break, but they could not hold the lead for long. Arsenal struck twice in quick succession and took all three points.
The 1.44 landed.
The result was expected. The game itself was considerably harder than the price suggested. It was Leeds’ first defeat of the season and an important response from Arsenal after their 3–0 loss to Brighton.
The London side remain second: 15 points to City’s 18.
Manchester United 1–1 Tottenham
This was where the favourite failed.
1.76 / 4.26 / 4.73
United took the lead and then gained a numerical advantage when Tottenham went down to ten men. From there, the hosts simply had to see the game out.
They did not.
Solanke equalised in stoppage time — 1–1.
In our preview, Manchester United were fairly clear favourites, but 1.76 did not land. The draw at 4.26 did.
The bigger concern for United is the table: six matches, just six points.
Chelsea Hit Five, Brighton Keep Another Clean Sheet
Chelsea needed a reaction after the painful 3–0 defeat to Brentford and got one immediately — 5–1 against Bournemouth.
João Pedro scored twice as Chelsea moved back into the tightly packed group of teams on ten points.
Bournemouth are still looking for their first league win.
Brighton kept their run going at Sunderland — 2–0. It was their third straight victory without conceding.
After six rounds, Brighton have 13 points and third place. Following the recent 3–0 win over Arsenal and two more victories since, their start is becoming increasingly difficult to dismiss as a short-term hot streak.
Other Results
- Aston Villa — Brentford — 2–2
- Ipswich — Fulham — 2–1
- Crystal Palace — Nottingham Forest — 3–1
- Hull City — Everton — 2–2
Brentford remain unbeaten. Ipswich found another late winner. Crystal Palace finally got the better of Forest.

How Did Our 888STARZ Line Perform?
The three matches from our Friday preview finished like this:
Arsenal — Leeds
1.44 / 5.03 / 8.20 → 2–1
Home win at 1.44
Manchester United — Tottenham
1.76 / 4.26 / 4.73 → 1–1
Draw at 4.26
Liverpool — Manchester City
2.62 / 3.82 / 2.69 → 0–3
Away win at 2.69
Manchester was the only one of the three where a clear favourite failed to win.
Arsenal did exactly what the line expected. Liverpool — City was essentially a pick’em before kick-off, but the 2.69 away win ended up landing comfortably on the scoreboard.
After Matchweek 6
The number that matters most is 18 from 18 for Manchester City.
Arsenal remain close. Brighton are already third. Liverpool have dropped to ninth after their first defeat, while Manchester United once again start a season with more questions than answers.
For now, City are making no mistakes. Everyone else already has.
