Six rounds in, and PSG are the ones doing the chasing. Monaco lead with 14 points, Lille and Rennes have 13, while the champions sit only sixth on 11. Paris are just three points off the top, but their next test is an awkward trip to Strasbourg — only days after an emotional 4–2 Champions League win over Manchester City.
The leaders, meanwhile, travel to Lorient. Lyon host Nice, and Marseille head into another must-respond weekend after yet another European defeat. Here are the key games and the current 888STARZ line.
Strasbourg vs PSG
PSG find themselves in a strange position.
In Europe, they have just beaten Manchester City 4–2 and sit top of the Champions League standings.
At home, they are only sixth with 11 points.
Strasbourg sit 11th on seven and have already picked up two wins from their opening six games.
888STARZ:
6.62 / 5.44 / 1.47
The market clearly trusts PSG’s European form more than their Ligue 1 position.
Away win at 1.47 makes Paris strong favourites.
But there is another question after such an intense night in Manchester: how easily can PSG switch back into domestic mode?
These are often the games that look much easier in the odds than they do on the pitch.
Lille vs Brest
A genuine top-half contest.
Lille are second with 13 points, Brest seventh on eight. The hosts have conceded only four goals so far — one of the best defensive records in the league.
But their midweek Champions League trip ended in a 3–0 defeat to Arsenal.
888STARZ:
1.66 / 4.37 / 5.39
That European setback has not changed Lille’s status at home.
They remain clear favourites.
The challenge now is to separate two stories quickly: London was a bad European night; the Ligue 1 title race is still very much alive.
With the top this tight, one dropped result can cost several places.
Angers vs Marseille
This is where the market becomes particularly interesting.
Angers sit 12th with seven points. Marseille are one place lower in 13th — and have only six.
So the hosts are actually higher in the table.
888STARZ:
3.37 / 3.80 / 2.20
Marseille are still favourites.
The problem is that they have just lost 1–0 to Olympiacos and remain without a point after two Europa League games.
They need another response — this time in France.
2.20 on the away win reflects Marseille’s status more than their current results.
The table is far less convincing.
Lorient vs Monaco
The leaders face a proper test.
Monaco are top with 14 points and remain unbeaten after six rounds: four wins and two draws.
Lorient sit eighth on eight and have shown enough at home to make life difficult for stronger sides.
888STARZ:
3.87 / 3.58 / 2.10
What stands out is that the league leaders are only 2.10 to win.
Monaco are favourites, but nowhere near overwhelming ones. The market clearly respects Lorient’s home advantage and their solid start.
And Monaco have almost no margin for error.
Several teams are within one victory of taking first place from them.
Paris FC vs Rennes
One of the most balanced — and most unexpected — games of the weekend.
Newly promoted Paris FC are already fifth with 11 points. Rennes sit third on 13.
Only two points separate them.
888STARZ:
2.38 / 3.45 / 3.27
And the favourites are the hosts.
That alone says plenty about how seriously the market is taking Paris FC’s start.
Not Rennes’ bigger name. Not their third place.
The promoted side are 2.38 for the home win.
Victory would not simply extend Paris FC’s excellent opening run — it would take them directly above one of the current title challengers.
Lyon vs Nice
A strong fixture closes the weekend.
Lyon sit fourth with 11 points, while Nice are ninth on eight.
Lyon also had a demanding European night on Thursday, edging Crystal Palace 3–2 in the Europa League.
888STARZ:
1.71 / 4.21 / 5.18
The market strongly favours the hosts.
But Lyon have spent plenty of energy in Europe and have very little recovery time before Sunday night.
So 1.71 on the home win looks logical from the table — but the game itself may prove more difficult than the line suggests.

Before Matchday 7
The strangest thing about Ligue 1 right now is that PSG are not controlling it.
Monaco are first, Lille second and Rennes third. Paris sit only sixth.
But the gaps are so small that a single weekend could completely reshape the top of the table.
And the odds create even more contrast.
PSG are 1.47 favourites away at Strasbourg despite sitting sixth.
League leaders Monaco are treated far more cautiously at 2.10 against Lorient.
And in fifth-placed Paris FC against third-placed Rennes, the market actually backs the newly promoted hosts at 2.38.
So Matchday 7 is not only about whether Monaco can stay top.
It poses another question:
right now, should we trust the table or the market more?
