Matchweek 5 finally slowed down two of Serie A’s early leaders. Roma and Inter both arrived at their head-to-head clash with perfect records, only to walk away with a point each. Juventus took care of Atalanta, Milan made short work of Lecce, while Frosinone tore up one of the clearest pre-match scripts of the weekend. The 888STARZ line had Como as strong favourites before kick-off. What happened on the pitch was the complete opposite.
Roma 2-2 Inter: Martinez rescues Inter from 2-0 down
The biggest game of the weekend lived up to its billing.
Roma started with real purpose and were ahead after only six minutes through Manu Kone. He struck again before the break to send the hosts into half-time with a 2-0 lead.
Inter’s response was immediate. Lautaro Martinez pulled one back in the opening minute of the second half before scoring again in the 79th minute to complete the comeback.
There had been very little between the sides in the pre-match odds — 2.80 for Roma and 2.67 for Inter — and the final score reflected just how closely matched they were.
It was the first time either club had dropped points this season. Five rounds in, Roma and Inter now both sit on 13 points, level with Lazio.
Frosinone 2-0 Como: the 6.23 outsiders turn the odds upside down
This was the real shock.
Como arrived as clear favourites at 1.58, while Frosinone were priced all the way out at 6.23. The hosts didn’t just upset the odds — they won comfortably and kept a clean sheet.
Giacomo Calo broke the deadlock before Giorgi Kvernadze added the second.
It was Como’s first defeat of the season, while Frosinone’s remarkable start continues. They now have 10 points from five matches.
This wasn’t one of those smash-and-grab 1-0 wins built around a lucky set piece. Frosinone simply beat a team that had been expected to control the game.
Juventus 2-0 Atalanta: finally, a quiet night in Turin
No late drama this time.
Juventus went into the match as 1.77 favourites and delivered a convincing win. Francisco Conceicao opened the scoring before Bremer made sure of the points.
The result takes Juve to 10 points from five games.
Just as important was the way they got there. Atalanta have made a habit of causing Juventus problems in recent seasons, particularly in Turin. This time there was no frantic finish and no need for a late escape.
Two More Results Worth Noting
Fiorentina 1-1 Napoli
Napoli travelled to Florence as 2.27 favourites but dropped points again.
Billy Gilmour put the visitors ahead before Alex Jimenez levelled after a deflection.
Napoli’s opening weeks are beginning to look well short of expectations. After five league matches, they have only 7 points.
Milan 3-0 Lecce
Absolutely no surprise here.
Milan were priced at just 1.30 and dealt with Lecce without much trouble. Christian Pulisic, Adrien Rabiot and Diego Moreira all got on the scoresheet.
The win moves Milan onto 11 points, keeping them right on the heels of the leading group.

There were a couple of notable results away from the headline fixtures too.
Cagliari left Udine with a 1-0 win thanks to Daniel Maldini and now sit on 12 points, just one behind the leading trio. Parma also finally picked up their first victory of the season with a 2-1 win over Genoa.
After five rounds, the top of Serie A suddenly looks crowded.
Roma, Inter and Lazio are level on 13 points, Cagliari are right behind them, while Milan, Frosinone and Juventus are all close enough to keep the pressure on.
The 2-2 draw in Rome made sense given how evenly matched the two sides looked before kick-off. Frosinone beating Como 2-0 was a different story entirely — and easily the result nobody saw coming.
