Champions League Matchday 2 Results: PSG Win in Manchester, Real Come Back From 3–1 Down in Rome

Matchday 2 was far louder than the opener. PSG beat Manchester City 4–2 away, Real Madrid came back from 3–1 down to beat Roma 4–3, Inter conceded four against Club Brugge, while Bayern unexpectedly dropped points against Viking.

Before the round, we picked out the headline fixtures and locked in the 888STARZ line. Now we can compare those prices with what actually happened.

Manchester City 2–4 PSG

The biggest game of the round delivered.

Before kick-off:

2.24 / 4.11 / 3.07

But the match went nothing like the market expected. PSG were already 3–0 up at half-time. Haaland scored twice after the break to drag City back into it, but the French side held on and added a fourth.

Away win at 3.07.

That was the biggest winning price among the key matches from our preview.

PSG now have six points from six and sit top of the overall table. City dropped to 17th with three points.

Roma 3–4 Real Madrid

Another game that completely changed direction.

888STARZ:

3.89 / 4.11 / 1.94

Roma led 3–1, but could not even hold on for a draw. Real scored three late goals, with former Roma defender Antonio Rüdiger netting the winner in the 90th minute.

Away win at 1.94 landed.

Madrid are now also perfect with six points from six and sit eighth — the final direct qualification spot for the Round of 16.

Roma remain on one point and drop to 25th.

Atletico Madrid 2–0 Manchester United

One of the most balanced lines from our preview:

1.98 / 3.94 / 3.90

The table favoured United. The market favoured Atletico.

This time, the market had it right.

Barrios scored in the opening minute, United later went down to ten men, and Lookman finished the job — 2–0.

Home win at 1.98.

Atletico collected their first three points and moved up to 15th. United are now 13th, also on three.

Galatasaray 1–4 Barcelona

No surprise here.

8.70 / 6.66 / 1.33

Galatasaray scored first, but Barcelona stayed calm, turned the game around and made it two wins from two.

Away win at 1.33 landed.

Barcelona now have six points and sit second, with only PSG ahead on the tiebreakers.

Arsenal Did Their Job, Bayern Did Not

Arsenal were one of the clearest favourites of the whole round:

1.23 / 7.06 / 16.00

They comfortably beat Lille 3–0.

Home win at 1.23 — no drama.

Arsenal have six points from two games and are yet to concede. They currently sit seventh.

Bayern had a very different night, drawing 3–3 with Viking. The Munich side dropped their first points and are now 10th with four.

Villarreal Stop Napoli, Inter Lose Again

Villarreal vs Napoli was one of the most balanced games in our preview:

2.16 / 3.76 / 3.51

The Spanish side won 3–1.

Home win at 2.16 landed.

For Napoli, it is now two defeats from two: zero points and 32nd place.

Inter had an even worse night, losing 3–4 at home to Club Brugge. They are also still on zero and sit 29th.

It was a brutal round for Serie A overall: all four Italian clubs lost their Champions League matches.
